Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify orders
- Collect and process specimens
- Prepare and label specimens
- Document and report results accurately
- Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment
- Manage supply inventory and communicate needs
- Support cross-coverage needs
- Assist with clerical duties
- Provide patient-centered service
- Assist with various procedures and diagnostic equipment
Requirements
- Comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment
- Completion of medical terminology or phlebotomy training preferred
- Previous laboratory or phlebotomy experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross required within 30 days of hire; must be maintained
- Mandatory Reporter training for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse required within 3–6 months of hire; must be maintained
- Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows environment, web-based navigation, email, MS Office)
- Able to work with diverse groups of people in a collaborative, shared leadership environment
