Clinic Director
Brightline is a premier national youth mental health provider, delivering high-quality virtual and in-person care to families when and where they need it. As the clinical leader for our Wisconsin market, you’ll provide strategic leadership, vision, and oversight to ensure exceptional care across multiple clinics and teams.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to shape pediatric behavioral health across the Wisconsin market. You’ll be the clinical backbone of Brightline’s expansion, building teams, standards, and culture to scale quality alongside growth. Your decisions will directly impact the care thousands of kids and families receive—from hiring therapists to enforcing protocols to launching new clinics. You’ll operate at the senior leadership table, partnering with your market’s General Manager and influencing Brightline’s national care model.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Oversight:
- Audit clinical charts and oversee quality evaluations across the market.
- Partner with Brightline leaders on metrics defining clinic health, including clinical quality, operational P&L, utilization, retention, and growth.
- Design and lead peer consultation groups with assigned clinicians (weekly/biweekly).
- Report on clinical and clinician metrics, conducting root-cause analysis and executing solutions for gaps.
- People Leadership:
- Hire and develop managers, therapists, and psychologists to meet Brightline’s clinical and cultural standards.
- Train new hires on clinical protocols, operational policies, and procedures, ensuring market-wide fidelity.
- Conduct biweekly 1:1s with direct reports to review clinical care, documentation, caseload, productivity, and tool use; hold managers to the same standard.
- Supervise pre-licensed therapists, including co-signing clinical documentation.
- Resolve concerns from members, staff, or stakeholders promptly and thoroughly.
- Hold teams accountable to performance expectations using Brightline’s tiered performance management process (e.g., PIPs, peer reviews).
- Assess ongoing training needs in partnership with national clinical and care operations teams.
- Patient Care:
- Maintain a limited caseload (≤60% of time, decreasing as the market grows).
- Provide and oversee care, including psychological testing, therapy, and diagnostic evaluations for youth with anxiety, OCD, behavioral concerns, depression, trauma, and more.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, ERP, PMT, DBT, HRT, etc.).
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing for common youth concerns.
- Stay current on clinical research and adhere to the field’s highest ethical standards.
- Clinic Outreach, Marketing & Networking:
- Partner with your market GM and Brightline’s national marketing team to build relationships with hospitals, pediatrician groups, payors, and schools.
- Lead community engagement efforts (e.g., speaking at schools or medical offices) in collaboration with corporate partners.
- Oversee outreach efforts by clinic staff.
Requirements
- A PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or a closely related field.
- An active psychologist license with expertise in child/adolescent behavioral health evaluation, testing, and intervention.
- Experience leading clinical programs (e.g., Executive Director, Market Clinic Director, Program Director) and building care teams.
- Experience providing clinical supervision to associate-level or postdoctoral clinicians.
- Deep knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing behavioral health.
- Preferred: Experience building teams/systems in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with dashboards/BI tools.
- Ability to influence cross-functionally and act as a thought partner to peers and centralized leaders.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance accountability.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to influence and inspire.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with EHR systems and workplace tools (e.g., Slack, Asana, Google Workspace).
- Based in Wisconsin with ability to travel 20% across the market.

Pay
Annual base salary range: $140,000 – $160,000 (geo-based, performance/potential-driven). Includes equity and benefits.
