About The Role

The Client Services Specialist for ACA at Lumelight plays a pivotal role in managing the annual Affordable Care Act reporting process for assigned clients. This position acts as the primary point of contact, overseeing project management activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of reporting requirements. The specialist is responsible for initiating proactive communication with clients, coordinating data collection, and analyzing information to verify accuracy and completeness. This role demands a high level of customer service, requiring the ability to exercise mature judgment, communicate effectively, and resolve issues promptly. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently while collaborating with team members to deliver exceptional service. The position is primarily remote within approved states and involves managing multiple priorities during peak reporting seasons, especially in the first quarter of each year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal teams as a primary liaison
  • Manage and monitor client accounts to ensure timely receipt of necessary records and data
  • Collect, analyze, and verify data for accuracy and completeness
  • Proactively communicate with clients and team members to facilitate smooth reporting processes
  • Identify and resolve issues related to data discrepancies or reporting challenges
  • Ensure on-time submission of ACA reports in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable benefit laws, regulations, and reporting standards
  • Represent Lumelight professionally when interacting with clients and brokers
  • Assist with additional duties related to client support and process improvement as needed

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience (2-4 years) in a client-facing role
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service or client management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and comfortable using Windows PCs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on responsiveness and support
  • Problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Effective collaboration skills across teams and functions
  • Experience with CRM, HRIS, ERP, or similar business systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of employee benefits compliance and federal laws related to ACA (preferred)
  • Industry experience related to benefits administration or compliance (preferred)
