Client Service Representative

About the role

VCA Pacific Avenue Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be the face of VCA, setting the tone for the practice and responsible for various tasks including customer service, scheduling, communication, and maintaining the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, processing payments.
• Assisting clients in obtaining products and services.
• Answering general questions and educating clients on non-medical pet care.
• Maintaining medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Performing hospital maintenance (removal of animal waste as necessary) and ensuring the facility is neat and clean.

• Availability to work some weekend and evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Knowledge of veterinary practices and pet care.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
