Client Service Representative
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. Our mission is to prioritize your pet’s health and provide excellent service, and we look for a personable yet professional representative to help us achieve this.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and answering telephones
- Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively with both pets and people. Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required.
Qualifications
Experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is helpful but not required.
Skills
Customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are key. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently is important.

Pay
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.
Schedule
Hours vary based on the needs of the hospital, but typically include evenings and weekends.
