Client Service Representative
About the role
VCA Companion AMC in Carmel, IN is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join their team. They take their mission statement seriously – your pet’s health is our top priority and excellent service is our goal. They aim to exceed each pet owner’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and answering telephones
- Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Maintaining medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Managing hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
Requirements
The ideal candidate should be personable yet highly professional, with strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are essential. The ability to multitask and prioritize effectively is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred, but training will be provided.
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, are required.
