Client Service Representative
About the role
VCA Valley Animal Hospitals seeks a Client Service Representative who can embody our commitment to providing exceptional service and exceeding client expectations. As the primary point of contact for clients and their pets, the CSR plays a pivotal role in maintaining trust and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and answering telephones
- Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
- Ensuring the facility is neat and clean, both inside and outside
Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also required.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a positive attitude are crucial. A background in animal care or related field is beneficial.
Skills
Customer service skills, organizational abilities, and the ability to multitask are key. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, are necessary.
