Client Service Representative
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. Our mission is to prioritize your pet’s health and provide excellent service, and we look for a personable yet professional representative to help us achieve this.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and answering telephones
- Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and must be able to communicate effectively with clients and pets. Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are also required.
Qualifications
Experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with computers and software programs.

Pay
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.
Schedule
This position requires flexibility and availability to work evenings and weekends.
