Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional client service by warmly greeting clients and patients, answering questions, managing phone communications, and ensuring a smooth experience from check-in through check-out.
  • Scheduling, confirming, and coordinating appointments while understanding patient needs, appointment types, and hospital workflows.
  • Building relationships with clients through compassionate communication, follow-up calls, and proactive outreach to support ongoing pet wellness.
  • Serving as the connection between clients and medical staff by supporting veterinary care recommendations, educating clients on preventive healthcare, explaining veterinary services, treatment plans, estimates, and payment options with accuracy, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Aiding clients with prescription requests, product recommendations, and veterinary-approved pet care products.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records, patient histories, client information, and other important hospital documentation.
  • Collaborating closely with veterinarians and medical staff to ensure clients understand their pets’ care plans and next steps.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of common veterinary terminology, procedures, and preventive care concepts to better assist clients and support the healthcare team.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment for pets, clients, and staff.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in veterinary medicine, animal healthcare, or a client-facing healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of companion animal care, preventive medicine, and common veterinary services.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and compassionately.
  • A commitment to providing outstanding customer service while advocating for the health and well-being of pets.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary hospital while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and support both clients and medical staff.
  • Willingness to cross train with other departments in the hospital.
