About the role
VCA Northside Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will embody our mission statement – your pet’s health is our top priority and excellent service is our goal – by setting the tone for the practice and building trust with our clients and their pets.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and answering telephones
- Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of veterinary medicine and pet care
