Client Service Representative

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, friendly and compassionate Client Service Representative at VCA Alaska Pet Care. We are a thriving four Doctor practice with long term staff, a community aspect, and an emphasis on a low stress environment for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors and answering telephones
• Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
• Ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside

Requirements

A polite, people pleasing attitude is preferred. Prior veterinary clinic experience is not required.

Qualifications

Pay starting at $21 per hour DOE. We are looking for a candidate with no schedule restrictions and open availability to work 5/8's.
