About the role
We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team at VCA Animal Hospitals. Our mission is to prioritize your pet’s health and provide excellent service, and we look for a personable yet highly professional representative to help us achieve this.
Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors and answering telephones
- Guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Ensuring the facility is neat and clean, both inside and outside
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and pet care
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
