Client Service Representative

About the role

VCA Village Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Client Service Representative to join their growing team. This position is located in Larchmont, NY and offers opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Customer service functions, including greeting visitors and answering telephones.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Ability to multitask.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care.
• Managing medical records and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.

Requirements

• Animal hospital or other professional animal-related experience (shelter, pet store, day care, grooming, animal science classes, etc.).
• A flexible schedule; we are open 5 days currently Monday thru Friday but will be opening Saturdays in the future and evening and weekend shifts may be required.
• Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has:

• Animal hospital or other professional animal-related experience (shelter, pet store, day care, grooming, animal science classes, etc.).

Pay

Salary is commensurate with experience and ranges from $18.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Schedule

We are open 5 days currently Monday thru Friday but will be opening Saturdays in the future and evening and weekend shifts may be required.
