About the role

VCA Lynnfield by the Lake Animal Hospital seeks a Client Service Representative (CSR) with veterinary experience to join our team. This role involves creating outstanding first impressions, managing the flow of clients and appointments, financial stewardship, client education, and administrative excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Create Outstanding First Impressions: Warmly greet clients and their pets, answer phone calls with a smile, and guide patients to exam rooms.
  • Manage the Flow: Schedule and confirm appointments efficiently to keep the veterinary team running smoothly.
  • Financial Stewardship: Present and explain treatment plans/fees clearly and process payments accurately.
  • Client Education: Answer questions about services and products, and educate clients on pet care basics.
  • Administrative Excellence: Manage medical records, organize patient charts, and handle hospital correspondence.
  • Hospital Pride: Ensure the facility is clean, tidy, and welcoming, including assisting with light upkeep and pet waste removal.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital or animal care environment is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, a positive attitude, the ability to multitask under pressure, and deep empathy for both people and pets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service and/or veterinary field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
