About the role

As a Client Service Manager within the Employee Health & Benefits team, you’ll utilize your exceptional client servicing skills to maintain and expand client relationships. You will collaborate with the sales team, carriers, and the client to establish and renew benefit plans to meet the client’s needs. This role includes performing varied service functions such as employee open enrollment meetings, wellness options, and other day-to-day service to ensure the client’s needs and expectations are met.

This job is approximately 70% internal and 30% client interfacing, including frequent client discussions, participation in strategy meetings, and making presentations to decision makers and employees. You will also coordinate and actively participate in the advancement of wellness initiatives for assigned clients. All Client Service Managers are expected to participate in continuing education to maintain their licenses, stay current with regulations, and enhance insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Manage accounts through the calendar year life cycle
  • Assist clients with federal and state law compliance and interpret contractual language
  • Coordinate and complete the marketing process for new and renewal group business, including compiling census data, benefit plans, soliciting quotes, monitoring requests, corresponding with carriers, and preparing renewal proposals and presentations
  • Prepare employee communications and organize and conduct enrollment meetings
  • Manage re-enrollment forms and review contracts and summary plan descriptions
  • Meet via conference calls or in person with carriers and clients to stay on track and cover all aspects of implementation
  • Conduct presentations and speak to diverse groups

Requirements

  • Active Life and Health license
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), agency management systems, and web browser software
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong knowledge of plan designs from varied carriers in the marketplace

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or other related fields
  • Insurance designations

Pay

The applicable base salary range for this role is $64,700 to $120,400. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.
