About the role

The Minnesota Sex Offender Program (MSOP) is a residential, sex offense specific treatment program in a modified therapeutic community and secure setting that provides services to over 700 individuals who have been civilly committed for sexual offending. MSOP is a national leader in the industry and is committed to providing services on the leading edge of the comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management of clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients in processes relating to their rights, application processes and providing resources to assist clients in meeting their needs
  • Documenting services provided in the client treatment record
  • Facilitating psycho-educational modules
  • Acting as a resource to clients and facility staff to promote clients' rights
  • Participation in staff meetings, case consultations and other projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of combined experience in at least 4 of the 6 activities listed below:
  • Providing direct care and therapeutic support to individuals
  • Assisting with assessment of behavior health challenges including data collection
  • Experience leading and/or facilitating educational groups or therapeutic activities with individuals with mental health symptoms
  • Experience developing or implementing support plans or treatment plans that addresses behavior through adaptations, activities, interventions, education, engagement, and support
  • Assisting in planning and hand-off communication of support plans and strategies for supporting individuals upon discharge
  • Developing/assisting in development of behavioral interventions and recommendations for interdisciplinary staff implementation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in social work, case management, or equivalent
  • Post-bachelor’s degree experience providing mental health/sex offense specific treatment in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment
