About the role
Stephen Smith Financial is a retirement-focused financial advisory firm based in Schaumburg, IL, dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve lasting financial security. We are seeking a Client Relationship Manager to join our dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new clients, ensuring personalized attention and exceptional service at every step
- Manage all ongoing client needs and communications
- Conduct performance reviews and regular account check-ins
- Auxiliary with money movement requests and related transactions
- Set up and educate clients on using the client portal
- Coordinate with our Medicare team to arrange necessary services
- Implement the financial plans developed by the lead advisor
- Provide responsive, tailored support throughout the client relationship
- Maintain the firm’s CRM system through accurate data entry and database management
- Monitor and track pending service work, ensuring clients receive personalized update calls regarding the progress of their requests
- Complete each service request and resolve client issues
- Manage calendars, including appointment scheduling and rescheduling
- Prepare client review summary for upcoming appointments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years’ experience servicing and supporting clients
- Experience using platforms such as: Fidelity, Charles Schwab, E-Trade, Morgan Stanley, Edward Jones, Wells Fargo, J.P. Morgan Chase Private Client, Vanguard, Merrill Lynch, Raymond James, Northern Trust, Fisher Investments
- Series 65 license and Life & Health license required
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency and confidence working across various platforms and operating systems including Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools
- Excellent communication; written and verbal
- Collaborative team player willing to assist others
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills by efficiently managing multiple client requests and prioritizing time-sensitive tasks
- Skilled in building strong, trust-based relationships with clients by providing attentive, personalized service and guidance
- Self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently
- Demonstrates strong integrity and a commitment to ethical conduct, especially when handling confidential client information and financial matters

Pay
Base salary of $60,000–$72,000 per year, commensurate with experience
Schedule
In-office: Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Occasional evenings for client events
