Client Relationship Executive
About the Role
As CohnReznick grows, we are expanding our sales team with the addition of a Client Relationship Executive (CRE) role. This director-level sales executive will act as a growth architect for the firm's Chicago market, responsible for enterprise-level target acquisition, multi-year revenue strategy, and the orchestration of complex, multi-service pursuits. The CRE will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Practice Leaders, Office Managing Partners, Inside Sales, Marketing, and delivery teams to drive sustained regional growth, deepen executive relationships, and scale best-in-class sales execution across the firm.
This position is hybrid, requiring team members to be in the office or collaborating in person on average 3 days a week, with the cadence determined at the team level.
Your Team
You will be part of our sales organization within a structured, team-based sales model that emphasizes collaboration, consistent processes, and professional development. Aligned to the Chicago office, you will support local client and prospect activity while collaborating with the Office Managing Partner, other Client Relationship Executives, Sales Leadership, and local industry group leaders. This role may include mentorship of other sales professionals and involvement with relevant industries within the local market.

Responsibilities
- Own and activate a portfolio of enterprise-level targets, with accountability for originating and advancing the firm’s most complex, high-value pursuits within the Chicago market.
- Develop and execute a multi-year market and territory business plan aligned to defined revenue goals and firmwide growth priorities.
- Architect, refine, and activate target ecosystems (accounts, buyer personas, and influencers) to create sustained whitespace and pipeline.
- Build, scale, and manage sophisticated Centers of Influence (COIs) (e.g., referral sources) to drive net-new opportunity creation.
- Orchestrate cross-firm collaboration across service lines, practices, and regions to deliver integrated, multi-service solutions for enterprise targets.
- Support complex negotiations and deal structuring with senior executives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-Suite and board-level target and client contacts.
- Mentor and coach Senior Manager and Manager-level CREs; support succession and growth planning discussions as the Chicago market scales.
- Maintain strong pipeline coverage, forecasting accuracy, and CRM discipline to support predictable growth and leadership visibility.
- Represent the firm externally at industry events, executive forums, conferences, and targeted networking environments.
The Director role requires a sustained track record of revenue over-achievement and the ability to influence outcomes at the executive and board level.
- Assigned the highest revenue target levels within the CRE role structure.
- Expected pipeline coverage typically 3× revenue target.
- Must demonstrate consistent quota achievement or over-achievement for 3+ years.
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in sales, client leadership, or professional services roles.
- Proven success leading enterprise-level pursuits and expanding complex client relationships.
- Experience working with growth-oriented industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Consumer, Hospitality, or Manufacturing & Distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-service expansion and long-term value creation.
- Sustained history of achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence C-Suite and board-level executives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-service teams.
- Advanced commercial, financial, and negotiation acumen.
- Experience mentoring senior sales professionals and developing future leaders.
- Expert-level proficiency with CRM systems and forecasting disciplines (Dynamics or Salesforce preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced or industry-specific education preferred.

Pay
In Illinois, the salary range for this director-level role is $200,000 to $300,000. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which also includes a discretionary performance bonus and other benefits.
