Client Project Manager
About the role
Retail Insight is seeking a Client Project Manager to join our team, embedded directly within Kroger's Store Support Office in Cincinnati. This role involves hands-on project delivery and execution, stakeholder management, and on-site leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of projects across Waste and On-Shelf Availability programmes
- Maintain clear project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Spot risks early and proactively resolve blockers
- Lead weekly status reviews and ensure actions are tracked and completed
- Own meeting cadence, set agendas, facilitate sessions, and drive outcomes
- Work closely with Kroger stakeholders to keep priorities aligned
- Cook up internal teams ahead of key client engagements
- Act as Retail Insight’s dedicated on-site representative (up to 5 days per week)
- Build strong relationships with Kroger teams and decision-makers
- Manage client-side dependencies to keep delivery on track
- Visit stores regularly to validate programme execution
- Audit adoption, compliance, and results at store level
- Turn observations into clear insights and actionable improvements
- Create clear, executive-ready updates for both Kroger and internal stakeholders
- Support quarterly business reviews and programme reporting
- Maintain visibility of performance, risks, and key milestones
Requirements
You will have proven experience in project management, client-facing operations, or retail programme delivery. A positive track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects is essential. You should have a project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) and be highly organized with excellent planning and tracking skills, including familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or ClickUp. You must be a confident communicator comfortable working with executives and store teams and a self-starter who can operate independently in an embedded client environment. You should also be willing to travel up to 30%.
Qualifications
Experience in grocery retail (waste, availability, inventory, or store ops) is a bonus. Previous experience working with or alongside Kroger is preferred, as is exposure to SaaS or analytics programme delivery.
