Client Order Specialist

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Client Order Specialist to join our Electrical team in Cortland, New York. Our Electrical business line applies over 100 years of product testing expertise to help clients meet safety, performance, environmental, and quality requirements across industries such as Medical, Lighting, Renewable Energy, HVACR, Appliances & Electronics, Hazardous Locations, Industrial Equipment, Life Safety & Security, IT & Telecom Equipment. We deliver innovative and bespoke Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification (ATIC) solutions globally.

About the role

The Client Order Specialist provides administrative support to sales and operations groups by processing signed sales quotations into orders while ensuring all quality standards and company controls are met. This role requires integrity and proficiency in Intertek systems including iConnect, Phoenix, PeopleSoft, and EPF.

Responsibilities

• Validate all documentation submitted by clients
• Act as a liaison between Customer, Account Manager, and Operations, as needed
• Process orders across all Intertek systems
• Research and assist with resolving account problems
• Manage new and existing client accounts
• Use financial tools to determine clients’ credit worthiness and status
• Create Intercompany projects
• Assist with resolution of invoicing issues, as necessary
• Create deposit invoices and submit internal match payments
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• Associates degree AND 1 year of data entry experience OR High School Diploma/GED equivalent AND 3 years of data entry experience
• High level of attention to detail
• Resolution-oriented and client-focused
• Proficiency in Microsoft software applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external clients via telephone and email
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively
• Proactive and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous CRM and web-based computer program experience

Pay

The base wage or salary range for this position is $21/hour - $23/hour. Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
