Client Engagement Manager

Elder Research Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MANTECH International Corporation, seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Client Engagement Manager to join our team in Charlottesville, VA or Raleigh, NC.

About the Role

A Client Engagement Manager (CEM) drives technology and analytics delivery by managing client relationships, consulting projects, and technology teams.

• Internally, they interface with technical data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to aid in business analysis, technology design and delivery, quality assurance, and project reporting.
• Externally, they interface with clients at numerous levels—project managers, stakeholders, end-users, data owners, analysts, IT groups, management, and executives—to drive tactical delivery of analytics projects.

As they grow in experience, a CEM partners with client managers and executives to define and drive analytics strategy and roadmap, developing long-range engagement plans and technology roadmaps while reviewing growth opportunities with company leadership.

• Energetic and creative: Lifelong learners eager to stay current in a rapidly evolving analytics and data science industry.
• Effective communicators: Able to articulate the value of data science, statistics, and machine learning to clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting support and guidance to data science and engineering teams on business analysis, technology approach, analytic solutions, and project management (scope, schedule, cost, client engagement).
• Monitor critical metrics like utilization, burn rate, timeline, and risk.
• Facilitate client engagements and relationships in partnership with other ERI leaders.
• Work with Directors and Vice Presidents to review growth and expansion opportunities.
• Create project proposals (scope, level of effort estimates, schedules), statements of work, and price proposals for new work and expansions.
• Maintain and communicate a solid understanding of analytics and data science techniques, tools, approaches, methodologies, and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or other technical field.
• Multi-year experience with project management and/or software development lifecycles.
• Multi-year experience managing and delivering complex projects.
• Multi-year experience in the consulting industry (technology, management, strategy) and managing client engagements with either internal or external clients.
• Multi-year experience growing and expanding business portfolios.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Hospitality industry.
• Master’s degree in math, statistics, engineering, or business administration.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or communicate with colleagues and clients via email, phone, or virtual presentations.
