About the role
The Client Development Manager (CDM) supports various segments and works in collaboration with the Inside Sales lead generation team to uncover new business opportunities, develop customized solutions, and sell Schneider Electric's Sustainability Services consulting and technology offerings to executive levels of Commercial and Industrial companies.
Responsibilities
- Uncover new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, qualifying, and closing techniques
- Develop and present customized solutions addressing the customer's business needs
- Build long-term relationships with clients at all levels within their organization
- Lead the development of sales proposals and collaborate with various resources to ensure contract negotiation and closure
- Collaborate with colleagues on improving offerings and go-to-market strategies
- Communicate and interact with business decision-makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements
- Maintain prospect database information in Salesforce.com
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree required
- Proven experience selling professional services to executives at leading Commercial and Industrial companies based in the US
- Extensive experience in executive-level enterprise sales, with proven success in the energy and sustainability services market
- Strong research and lead generation experience, including persistence in following up leads and moving prospects through the sales cycle
- Ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles and work in a consultative sales role
- Working understanding of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, supply chain sustainability challenges, and science-based emission reduction targets
- Strong closing ability and past experience closing multiple five- and six-figure agreements
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment and Salesforce.com CRM system

Pay
Expected compensation range: $95,000 - $110,000 per year, plus uncapped commission.
Schedule
Full-time position with travel required for up to 25%.
