Client Care Specialist 2

About the role

A Client Care Specialist 2 (CCS2) contributes to AHF by presenting a friendly, helpful face to members seeking HIV testing and prevention services, STI screenings, and treatment in our Wellness Clinics. The hybrid role provides courteous, confidential, and professional support within wellness programs, enhancing AHF’s reputation through excellence in patient care, retention, operational efficiency, and adaptability. The CCS2 works as part of a close‑knit team, embodying AHF’s core values and mission while navigating a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect medical histories and record vitals.
• Manage tests and screenings, including HIV and STI services.
• Address health complaints and provide patient education.
• Facilitate patient registration and appointment management.
• Create and maintain electronic charts.
• Document data accurately, including referrals and reports.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood and other specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepare collected specimens for laboratory processing.

Requirements

• Valid Phlebotomy license or Medical Assistant diploma.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in data documentation and electronic health record systems.
• Ability to transition seamlessly between clinical, administrative, and front‑office duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills: courteous, confidential, and professional interaction with members.
• Commitment to patient care excellence, retention, and operational efficiency.
• Adaptability to a dynamic, collaborative workplace.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid Phlebotomy license (or Medical Assistant diploma).
• Valid driver’s license.
