Client Billing Specialist

About the Role

The Client Billing Specialist validates vendor invoices for telecom expenses, reviews incoming invoices for variances, and ensures accurate billing. This role also serves as an independent reviewer for TCH Products billing and may provide operational approval.

Responsibilities

• Identify, define root causes, and file disputes for invoice variances related to new/disconnected circuits, rate changes, taxes, and regulatory fees.
• Create reports and spreadsheets for management review.
• Participate in regular meetings with telecom carriers.
• Collaborate with implementation specialists and finance teams on circuit provisioning.
• Approve billing invoices as needed.
• Audit new profile additions to ensure accuracy in direct debit profiles.
• Manage monthly circuit additions/deletions meetings with client implementation specialists and validate billing accuracy.
• Correct telecom expense reporting to Finance and O&T Admin, resolving billing errors promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in finance or billing.
• Project management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of AT&T or similar telecommunications provider billing systems.
• Experience with Ariba or similar contract systems.
• Familiarity with telecom expense management systems (e.g., Tangoe, Calero).

Work Environment

The role operates in a standard office environment with adequate lighting and temperature. Work is primarily onsite, with candidates required to report to the office three days per week. Travel may be required, and onsite work requirements are subject to change.
