Client Accounts Operations Analyst
About the role
The Client Accounts Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting DLA Piper's strategic initiatives. They collaborate with and support business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their business problems and needs. This position requires a deep understanding of industry best practices and the ability to analyze, document, and communicate business and system requirements.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with project stakeholders to understand business problems and define solution requirements.
- Performs all aspects of Billing, with in-depth knowledge of industry best practices, supporting daily operations and functions.
- Analyzes business process and supporting systems. Develops business cases, builds metrics and performs reporting.
- Documents and communicates functional and system requirements. Builds process-flow diagrams.
- Supports project management and reporting efforts. Liaises with project participants and follows up routinely to ensure effective communication and completion of tasks.
- Interfaces with IT and various departments to support execution of cross-functional project requirements. Performs system testing and requirements validation.
- Provides training to attorneys and staff as needed. Applies best practices for effective communication and problem solving.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong analytical skills and comfortable summarizing and communicating project scope and execution.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- An organized self-starter with the ability to handle many projects at one time and meet multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Able to design and deliver effective training for small and large groups, adapting content, communication style, and facilitation to diverse audiences, experience levels, and learning styles.
- Possesses advanced knowledge of Aderant Expert Billing.
Minimum Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Business Process Management from an accredited institution preferred.
- 3 years’ billing and/or financial analysis experience required, preferably in a law firm environment utilizing Aderant.
- Proficient in Excel.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment
The individual selected for this position may have the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement comprised of remote and in-office work, the requirement for which will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firm’s discretion in the future.
