About the role
The Client Accounts Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting DLA Piper's strategic initiatives. They collaborate with and support business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their business problems and needs. This position requires a strong focus on analyzing, documenting, and communicating business and system requirements.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with project stakeholders to understand business problems and define solution requirements.
- Performs all aspects of Billing, leveraging in-depth knowledge of industry best practices to support daily operations and functions.
- Analyzes business process and supporting systems, developing business cases, building metrics, and performing reporting.
- Documents and communicates functional and system requirements, creating process-flow diagrams.
- Supports project management and reporting efforts, liaising with project participants and following up to ensure effective communication and task completion.
- Supports system testing and requirements validation, providing training to attorneys and staff as needed.
- Applies best practices for effective communication and problem solving.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and comfort summarizing and communicating project scope and execution.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- An organized self-starter capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Ability to design and deliver effective training for small and large groups, adapting content and communication style to diverse audiences.
- Possesses advanced knowledge of Aderant Expert Billing.
- Minimum 3 years’ billing and/or financial analysis experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to interact with various colleagues and business stakeholders.
