About the role
The Client Accounting Services (CAS) Department Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the CAS department, ensuring efficient and accurate financial reporting and management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial operations of the CAS department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage a team of accountants and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and policies.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on department performance and trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- CPA certification preferred.
- Experience with financial systems and software.
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting standards and practices.
