Legal Billing Specialist (x2) Mostly Remote | Herndon, VA (One on-site day per month near Herndon, VA) 6+ Month Contract Soni's client in the legal services industry is seeking two Legal Billing Specialists to support its billing team during a critical period of growth and transition. This role is ideal for experienced legal billing professionals who can quickly take ownership of attorney billing portfolios while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. There is potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Specialist: Manage the complete billing cycle for assigned attorneysPrepare, review, process, and distribute client invoicesUpload invoices through electronic billing (eBilling) portalsResearch and resolve complex billing questions, discrepancies, and client inquiriesAnalyze billing and accounts receivable activity and process necessary adjustmentsMaintain client and matter records, including special fee arrangements and billing ratesReview engagement letters and implement client-specific billing requirementsProvide billing support and guidance to attorneys and internal staffMaintain billing documentation and support electronic recordkeepingAssist with special projects and additional billing responsibilities as needed Requirements of the Legal Billing Specialist: 1+ year of billing or accounting experience requiredPrior law firm or professional services billing experience strongly preferredExperience with Elite 3E and electronic billing platforms preferredBachelor's degree preferredStrong knowledge of legal billing processes and accounts receivableExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesStrong communication and customer service skills Compensation: $30–$35/hour Compensation May Vary Based On Experience, Skills, And Qualifications.
