About the Role
This position evaluates, underwrites, and rates applications for various lines of program business related to Broker Dealer and RIA space in addition to special event GL coverage. This role will interact with clients and insurance carriers.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and grows multiple lines, including but not limited to E&O, D&O, and Cyber policies.
- Analyzes information sent to the carrier for underwriting.
- Reviews and monitors monthly submissions to admitted and non-admitted markets.
- Develops and fosters relationships with clients and sub-producers.
- Collaborates with various carriers to gain an understanding of each policy and the coverage provided.
- Negotiates renewal terms and prepares proposal documents for each client renewal.
- Uses internal systems and multi-tasks in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates solid underwriting acumen.
- Manages workload within established service levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two to four years of related experience or equivalent.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Property and Casualty underwriting experience or ability to obtain license in 90 days.
- Knowledge of insurance products and underwriting guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- General PC knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and in-house system.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard.
