About the role
Kleinfelder is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Account Manager to lead business development efforts in Ohio. This role involves fostering client relationships, developing strategic growth plans, and expanding Kleinfelder’s presence in the region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to provide engineering and professional consulting services.
- Provide inspirational, business, market, and professional development leadership.
- Collaborate with KLF internal resources to plan, coordinate, and execute business development efforts aligned with specific market sectors, client needs, and geographic priorities.
- Collaborate with technical teams, marketing, and leadership to position the firm for success in high-value, strategic opportunities.
- Lead and support major proposal and interview efforts for high-value, strategic opportunities.
- Track, manage, and report on active pursuits and opportunities, maintaining accurate status updates and supporting data-driven forecasting and decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science, Engineering, or related technical field. Master’s degree or equivalent desired.
- 9-10 years of related experience. 6-7 years of direct client interaction in designated market and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required. 5-6 years of management experience required.
- Professional Engineer License a plus.
- Travel 50-60% (primarily day trips).
