About the role
Provide general clerical and administrative support to attorneys, legal staff and department personnel.
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining physical and electronic legal files, case files, records and tracking systems.
- Answer telephone inquiries and/or direct to the proper person or accurately record telephone messages.
- Serve as front desk backup and provide courteous and professional assistance to the public, county employees, elected officials, attorneys and other agencies.
- Receive and distribute correspondence for the department.
- Perform data entry and update case management, records management, and other departmental systems with accurate and timely information.
- Participate in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- One (1) year job related experience.
- Good computer and typing skills (minimum 35 wpm).
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees and elected officials.
Pay
$15.30 per hour, less than 30 hours per week.
Schedule
Part-time, less than 30 hours per week.
