This position supports transportation services by assisting consumers, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating daily dispatch needs. It offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity supporting services that enhance the lives of individuals in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Intake Processing: Perform intake tasks and update registrations for new and existing consumers
  • Reservation Entry: Take trip reservations by phone and enter requests into the computer system
  • Address Verification: Enter and verify geo codes for consumer and destination addresses and make corrections when needed
  • File Maintenance: Maintain complete and organized consumer files including eligibility forms and age verification
  • Trip Monitoring: Track vehicle locations and adjust trips when necessary to support timely service
  • Driver Direction: Direct drivers according to laws, regulations, and County procedures
  • Incident Response: Contact emergency services when needed and follow required procedures for accidents or incidents

Requirements

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum; or Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges and abilities.
  • Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.

Schedule

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours will vary, transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM. May have irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. Some travel in and out county for meetings.
