Responsibilities
- Greet and serve as a patient liaison to the Emergency Department upon patient arrival and their stay in the department.
- Handle all interdepartmental calls/requests to coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges.
- Enter consultations timely and accurately to facilitate medical decision-making.
- Orient and train new employees in same role and cross-train additional ancillary staff.
- Resolve a variety of questions, discrepancies, problems and inquiries within scope of responsibility.
- Provide patient support services based on department needs with support services.
- Plan, organize and direct all unit activities within the unit coordinator function.
Qualifications
- Equal to completion of four years of high school plus specialized courses and training.
- Computer skills including knowledge of electronic medical record system and related secretarial as preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay
Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $17.68 - USD $25.46 /Hr.
Schedule
Rotation Schedule Requirement every other week.
