Clearing and Grubbing Operator

Job Functions

• Clearing, grubbing, and burning
• Physical labor
• Assisting others in completing job requirements
• Operating various equipment including hand and power tools
• Cleaning and preparing sites
• Cleaning up rubble and debris

Essential Functions of the Job

• Working hours: 7:00 am till 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday (subject to change)
• Willingness to work overtime, standby, and some weekends
• Heavy physical labor requiring strength and agility
• Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs and occasionally lifting and/or moving more than 100 lbs
• May involve climbing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, lifting, carrying, dragging, balancing, pushing, and/or pulling
• Outdoor work in all weather and temperature extremes, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally loud noise levels in the work environment
• Use of safety equipment such as hard hats, safety vests, safety glasses, appropriate footwear, and seat belts (back support brace can be issued upon request)
• Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and balance
• Ability to read and understand warning signs and labels on a construction site and interpret plans, drawings, written instructions, and specifications

Minimum Requirements

• Proof of work eligibility
• Transportation to and from the job site
• Pass Pre-Employment Drug Test
• Pass Background Check
• Have a clean driving record

On-the-Job Training

• OSHA
• First Aid/CPR
• Competent Person Certification
