About the role

Windward Consulting is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to support the Global Solutions Management – Operations. This role involves the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN).

Responsibilities

  • Support the standup, configuration and implementation of ServiceNow’s ITSM, OMT, TSM, TSOM, and Workforce Management Capability modules.
  • Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups and Roles.
  • Create, maintain and enhance Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports.
  • Create and configure tool integrations with ServiceNow (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc).
  • Cook up and support application and platform upgrades.
  • Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades.
  • Aid in the design, creation and cataloging of business process flows.
  • Collaborate with other members of the ServiceNow development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies.
  • Perform the necessary tasks to design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational needs.
  • Identify trends and find patterns in unstructured and semi-structured customer data that can be used to create a more positive customer experience and increase overall network performance.
  • Interact with the customer to address Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Develop, configure, and customize the ServiceNow platform to fit business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Orchestrate and automate tasks.
  • Responsible for the design and build of ServiceNow Applications and integration to other applications and platforms, including architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Provide strong development and project on-track and on-task and collaborate on an ongoing project in both new and enhancements development between engineers, developers, analyst, and other team members.
  • Follow, maintain, and apply documentation best practice policies, procedures, and process throughout ServiceNow development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing business needs for Service Now configuration, implementation, and support.
  • Review and apply any additional UI/UX requirements from external and internal team and align into ServiceNow development.
  • Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.
  • Support data migration as needed.
  • Design and implement solutions following established Configuration Management policies and standards.
  • Integrate data from multiple data sources into a unified CMDB, ensuring data quality and integrity are maintained.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (such as Security+ CE) within 14 days of hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4-8 years of professional experience; or 2-6 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience with the design, development, and support of technology infrastructure.
  • At least 2 years of ServiceNow development.
  • Experience with ServiceNow upgrades.
