CleanStop Retail Sales Associate

Daycon CleanStop Retail Sales Associate – mid-level role supporting daily sales and operational functions in a janitorial and building-supply retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and reconcile cash registers (AR accounts, credit cards, cash, checks) using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Participate in sales promotions and merchandise the store front as directed by the Sales Manager.
• Generate new sales, develop customer relationships, and upsell janitorial products.
• Assist in store inventory transfers, ordering, cycle counts, and unloading 5–12 pallets of product.
• Attend off-site sales meetings as required.
• Prepare, communicate, and deliver daily financial records to corporate, including closeouts.
• Maintain stellar store cleanliness, including restrooms, and stock shelves daily.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of distribution-center or retail sales experience.
• Janitorial-supply or facility-supplies product knowledge preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Superior verbal communication with customers and coworkers.
• Handle customer concerns to resolution or escalate appropriately.
• Sales aptitude and solution-selling skills a plus.
• Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and travel locally to other stores for coverage.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Reliable transportation for limited local travel.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly sit at a desk for long periods, operate a computer, and communicate clearly on the phone and in-person.
• Frequently lift up to 30 lbs to assist customers.

Pay

$21.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, location, and other business factors.
