Classroom Aide
Requirements
The ideal candidate is required to possess the following qualifications:
- Have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary study;
- Possess an associate degree or higher.
Responsibilities
Provide instructional programs and services to children with disabilities or eligible young children, classroom management, and implementation of positive behavioral support plans.
Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, exhibits, equipment, etc. as assigned by the classroom teacher.
Supervise students in designated areas and as assigned (e.g. hallways, bathrooms, cafeterias, playground, gym, field trips, etc.).
Monitor all classroom students' performance and record relevant data daily to assess progress.
Aid children individually or in small groups in order to help them master and reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences, as appropriate.
Assist in bus loading and unloading of students from transportation.
Will fulfill duties of a Behavior Technician as needed.
Perform other appropriate duties as assigned to meet programmatic needs.

1 – 3 years relevant verifiable experience
Experience in providing instructional programs and services to children with disabilities or eligible young children
Classroom management
