Class A Driver

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily deliveries to customers.
• Drive in a safe and cautious manner, abide by laws to avoid fines, tickets, or violations.
• Follow call-in procedures during and throughout route duration.
• Accurately log information into Teletrac system (Driver Logs and Pre/Post Trip Inspection).
• Ensure loads and equipment are secured prior to leaving dock and customer location.
• Properly count/verify delivered merchandise to match the customer's BOL.
• Complete assigned paperwork including DVIR’s, trip log sheets, credit return forms, and obtain customer signatures when necessary.
• Follow procedures when BOL discrepancies occur and communicate to necessary parties.
• Follow procedures when delivering COD/ special cash deliveries.
• Maintain a clean work area. Clean tractor/trailer/straight job.
• Maintain product knowledge and respective storage temperatures.
• Complete work tasks and assignments with a sense of urgency following company procedures.
• Facilitate customer needs and interactions.

Requirements

• Great customer service skills.
• Valid Commercial Driver License (Class A).
• Ability to pass DOT-required drug and alcohol testing.
• 1 year driving experience.

Additional Details

• Katzman Produce operates 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.
• A variety of shift/work schedules are available.
• The Driver will work both indoors and outdoors, comfortable in various temperatures and weather conditions.
