About the Role

Safe operation of a TADC with a 53’ dry van. New equipment, state-of-the-art technology, 80% drop and hook. Home daily.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a TAS with 53’ dry van in accordance with Corrugated Logistics policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local regulations for commercial motor vehicles (CMV).
  • Perform all duties without refusing offered loads.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment as prescribed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and the company, submitting written reports on the condition of the tractor and trailer after each trip.
  • Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment in various configurations, weights, and under all climatic and road conditions, including urban and rural settings, for extended periods and long distances.
  • Perform drop, hook, spot, switch, and interchange equipment, including hooking/unhooking trailers, raising/lowering landing gear, and handling converter gear.
  • Ensure all required shipping documentation accompanies deliveries and verify documentation against load information provided by dispatch, noting any discrepancies in writing.
  • Properly secure or re-secure cargo as required.
  • Maintain frequent communication with Dispatch/Operations regarding stops, movements, equipment issues, delays, or other concerns.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, or moving violations involving company equipment or personal vehicles, and provide initial contact with public safety or law enforcement when necessary.
  • Maintain an electronic driver’s log in accordance with FMCSA and Corrugated Logistics requirements, monitoring hours of service and reporting discrepancies immediately.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including inspection reports, manifests, bills of lading, trip pay reports, fuel and mileage reports, and accident reports.
  • Perform roadside inspections as required by law and company policy.
  • Work in adverse weather conditions without environmental controls, maintaining production to meet service schedules.
  • Communicate professionally with all individuals encountered as a company representative.
