About the role

Rapier Employment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers to join one of the UK's leading supermarket distribution operations based in Erith and Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work with a nationally recognised logistics provider, offering excellent rates of pay, fully paid breaks, modern vehicles, and long-term opportunities. Immediate starts available. Your driving assessment is completed as part of your first shift, meaning you'll be paid while you demonstrate your skills.

Pay & Benefits

• Days: GBP20.00 per hour
• Mid Shifts/Back Shifts: GBP20.75 per hour
• Nights: GBP22.93 per hour
• Overtime: Up to GBP26.63 per hour
• Premium weekend rates - earn up to GBP53.22 per hour

Responsibilities

• Completing store deliveries and trunking work
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Operating safely and professionally at all times
• Working within a busy 24/7 logistics operation
• Delivering excellent customer service at every delivery point

The Role

You'll be delivering chilled and ambient products to ASDA stores using modern, well-maintained HGV Class 1 vehicles. The work includes a mixture of store deliveries and trunking, with minimal manual handling. This is a busy, fast-paced distribution operation offering regular work and consistent shifts throughout the year.

Schedule

• Flexible shifts are available across a 7-day operation, including weekend work.
• Start Times:
  AM Shifts: 03:00 - 08:00
  PM Shifts: 17:00 - 02:00
• Shift Length: Typically 9-15 hours

Requirements

• A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card (DQC)
• Digital Tachograph Card
• A minimum of 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, CD or IN endorsements)
• Right to work in the UK
• A professional, reliable, and safety-focused attitude
