Class 1/Class 2 Driver

About the role

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers to support our growing steelwork transport operations in the Derry/Londonderry area. This is an excellent opportunity with consistent work and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Transporting steelwork, galvanised materials, and structural steel products
• Safe loading, securing, and unloading of steelwork
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Delivering to customer sites, construction sites, and industrial locations
• Maintaining delivery paperwork and tachograph records
• Ensuring all loads are transported safely and efficiently in line with legal requirements

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Good understanding of load security and transport regulations
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Previous experience with steelwork or heavy/awkward loads
• Experience delivering to construction or industrial sites
• Familiarity with strapping and securing steel loads
• Good geographical knowledge

£17.00 per hour; £21.00 per hour after 44 hours

Schedule

Weekly hours: 44 per week (with opportunities for overtime); regular, consistent work schedule
