About the role

HGV Driver – TEMP‑PERM position with a well‑known client in Carlisle. Opportunity for steady, ongoing work with the possibility of a permanent position after 12 weeks. Days, tramping and night shifts available. Immediate starts. Representing both the client and Driver Hire Carlisle professionally.

Responsibilities

• Operating a HGV Class 1 vehicle (CAT CE)
• Conducting RDC runs to various supermarkets
• Performing hand‑balling on some sites as required
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Category CE (Class 1) entitlement
• Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Strong understanding of site safety and procedures
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude

Pay

Day shift (Monday‑Friday, 06:00 start): £17.00 per hour
Night shift (Monday‑Friday, 18:00 start): £18.00 per hour
