About the role
Driver Hire Darlington is currently seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver for a long-term supply position based in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 driver looking for regular work with consistent hours, weekly pay, and the support of a dedicated local transport recruitment team.
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to commercial and residential customers across the North East and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Completing multi-drop deliveries efficiently and safely
- Loading and unloading vehicles where required
- Conducting daily vehicle checks
- Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
- Providing excellent customer service at each delivery point
- Adhering to drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive regulations
This is a long-term supply assignment with the potential for ongoing work for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification card
- Digital Tachograph card
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
- Good geographical knowledge of the North East
- Professional and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to perform manual handling duties
- No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
