Responsibilities

  • Investigate complex and high-risk claims, including those represented by attorneys or with additional litigation features.
  • Consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants, and others involved in the accident.
  • Use gathered information to determine coverage, liability, and the total value of the claim.
  • Report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration.
  • Work in the office more than four days per month if preferred.

Requirements

  • Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling OR
  • Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR
  • Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Quickly build rapport and successfully effect settlements
  • Strong negotiation and customer service skills
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing coverage and liability
  • Proficiency in directing the use of discovery tools such as interrogatories, depositions, and production of documents
  • Experience handling Auto Litigation claims
