Responsibilities
- Investigate complex and high-risk claims, including those represented by attorneys or with additional litigation features.
- Consult with police officers, medical professionals, claimants, and others involved in the accident.
- Use gathered information to determine coverage, liability, and the total value of the claim.
- Report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration.
- Work in the office more than four days per month if preferred.
Requirements
- Five years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling OR
- Two years in claims handling and a bachelor’s degree OR
- Four years of relevant work experience with two years in claims handling and an associate degree.
Preferred Skills
- Quickly build rapport and successfully effect settlements
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing coverage and liability
- Proficiency in directing the use of discovery tools such as interrogatories, depositions, and production of documents
- Experience handling Auto Litigation claims
