Claims Account Manager, Wholesale
About the role
As a Claims Account Manager - Wholesale, you will be responsible for claim account management functions for customers in our growing Wholesale (Programs, Excess & Surplus) business unit. You will help deliver AXA XL Claims value in the marketplace and manage claims-related service issues for our customers, Third Party Administrators (“TPA”), and key distribution partners.
Responsibilities
- Represent AXA XL externally with brokers, TPAs, and customers, promoting AXA XL’s claims value proposition to distinguish us in the marketplace.
- Participate in marketing and business development activities, including partnership with internal business colleagues to present AXA XL claim capabilities to brokers and prospective customers.
- Complete new account implementations, including account profiles and set-up meetings with new Programs, TPAs, and broker partners to ensure all parties understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Hold client stewardship meetings to address program performance and opportunities for improvement, in collaboration with third-party claims administrators.
- Interact with third-party administrators to develop, implement, and monitor compliance with client-specific instructions and action plans related to claim program performance.
- Manage the claim audit process, including coordinating internal and external resources to conduct audits and leading audit wrap-up meetings.
- Conduct meetings with clients as needed to resolve issues and manage ongoing client relationships.
- Collaborate with the Claims Technical Team on individual losses.
- Provide proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders to deliver optimal claims service.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Wholesale Claims.
Requirements
- Diverse claims background, ideally with multiline experience; proven expertise in handling and/or supervising claims; demonstrated experience negotiating and settling complex claim files.
- Effective analytical skills and sound judgment; ability to take initiative and self-direct.
- Ability to travel (estimated 25%).
- Excellent understanding of Programs as well as Excess & Surplus business.
- Demonstrated experience with Third Party Administrator interactions.
- Operational expertise, familiar with requisite data demands and analytics in support of claims, underwriting, and actuarial groups.
- High dedication to customer service, including professionalism and diplomacy in broker and insured relations.
- Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—as well as collaboration, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently juggle numerous concurrent responsibilities.

Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required; insurance designation(s) (CPCU, AIC, ARM) preferred.

Pay
The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD $139,300–$219,300. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, and location.
