Claims Account Manager, Wholesale

Essential Responsibilities

  • Represent AXA XL externally with brokers, TPA's, and customers to promote AXA XL claims value proposition.
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities, collaborating with internal business colleagues to present AXA XL claim capabilities to brokers and prospective customers.
  • Complete new account implementations, including account profiles and set-up meetings with new Programs, TPA's, and broker partners to ensure all parties are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
  • Hold client stewardship meetings to address performance of the program and opportunities for improvement, working with third-party claims administrators.
  • Interact with the third-party administrator as needed to develop, implement, and monitor compliance with client-specific instructions and action plans related to the claim program.
  • Manage the claim audit process, coordinating necessary internal and external resources to conduct audits and leading the audit wrap-up meeting.
  • Conduct meetings with clients as necessary to resolve issues and manage the ongoing client relationship.
  • Interact with the Claims Technical Team on individual losses.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver optimal claims service.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Diverse claims background, ideally with multiline experience; proven expertise in handling and/or supervising claims.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and settling complex claim files.
  • Effective analytical skills and sound judgment.
  • Takes initiative and can self-direct.
  • Ability to travel - there is an estimate of 25% travel.
  • Excellent understanding of Programs as well as Excess & Surplus business.
  • Demonstrated experience with Third Party Administrator interactions.
  • Operational expertise, familiar with requisite data demands and analytics in support of claims, underwriting, and actuarial groups.
  • High dedication to customer service, including professionalism and diplomacy in broker and insured relations.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written – as well as collaboration, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of sophistication.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and efficiently juggle numerous concurrent responsibilities.
  • Ethics: has an impeccable reputation for ethics, integrity, and the highest standards of professionalism.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree required; insurance designation(s) (CPCU, AIC, ARM) preferred.
