Primary responsibilities

  • Lead and guide a team of warehouse staff across all functions, including receiving, shipping, picking, and inventory control.
  • Ensure efficient operations and a high standard of performance.
  • Train new team members in all warehouse processes, including scanning and picking procedures.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure staff are proficient in their roles.
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and Bill of Ladings for the receiving team and file away.
  • Manage inventory levels needed for store pickers including making transfers, tags, and tracking inventory items.
  • Ensure food waste is minimized, and food safety guidelines (Storing Food Properly, FIFO) are always applied.
  • Maintain cleanliness and handle food products in compliance with quality control procedures, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and any other regulations to ensure the highest standards of food safety.
  • Properly wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, hairnets, face masks, and other safety gear, as mandated by OSHA and Company policies.
  • Adapt to changing production demands and meet daily performance goals.
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a structured production environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations and team objectives.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Resolve any opportunities which might occur in warehouse operations.
  • Communicate with team daily to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements.

    Requirements

    • Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (SAP/Scan4cloud).
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
    • Strong people and servant leadership skills.
    • Problem solving capabilities to produce solutions to complex situations.
    • Able to safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks.
    • Able to work at a fast pace while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and consistency throughout shift.
    • Perform all job duties in refrigerated conditions (35-40°F) for extended periods.
    • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while in the warehouse.
    • Follow all safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), FDA and OSHA regulations.
    • Safely lift, carry, push, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
    • Remain on feet for the majority of the shift while performing repetitive motions, including reaching, bending, and twisting, as required for production tasks.
