Civil Site Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Civil Engineer to lead and grow our civil site practice in the Charleston, SC office. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in business development, staff management, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders.
• Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development.
• Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly.
• Lead and contribute to the production of proposals.
• Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff.
• Establish resources staffing needs for the section.
• Interview and hire staff for the section.
• Perform performance reviews for staff based on input from project managers on assigned teams.
• Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meetings, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversight design and permitting for site development projects.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Maintain high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer License or equivalent.
• 10+ years' experience in site civil engineering.
• Project management and business development experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
