Civil Site Engineer

About the role

Denham-Blythe is hiring a Civil Site Engineer responsible for designing site-related features of the overall project scope, including Site Grading, Paving, Egress, Stormwater Management, and Site Utilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design grading operations.
• Use design software to perform hydrologic analysis and design.
• Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with various regulations.
• Coordinate and consult with other members of the project, including engineers and architects.
• Use design software to plan and design hydraulic systems.
• Solve technical problems and provide advice.
• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings.
• Acquire planning and/or building regulations approval.
• Monitor and inspect work undertaken by contractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong grasp of stormwater management principles for both quality and quantity.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent mathematical, IT, and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary analysis.
• Basic knowledge of GIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Civil Site Design.
• Professional licensure in the state of KY or the ability to receive reciprocity.
