About the role

We are seeking an experienced Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Land Development team in a Project Manager capacity. This individual will play a key role in leading projects, managing internal teams, and serving as a trusted partner to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage land development projects from concept through completion.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client relationships and communication.
  • Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and project scopes.
  • Coordinate across internal disciplines (civil, surveying, planning, environmental, etc.).
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Support business development efforts and identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as a project engineer or engineering intern.
  • A valid NC Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
  • Highly detail oriented and possess excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
  • Strong time management and analytical skills.
  • Effective client relations and public speaking capabilities.
  • Effective written communication skills.
  • Possess a focus on quality and the ability to perform quality control review.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel. Bluebeam REVU desired.
  • Able to work independently and manage/schedule a team.
